Kohei Kyomori builds a modern visual language by reinterpreting the ornament in the sculpted objects of all ages. His aim is to bring this translation into two-dimensional works in order to create its own perspective. 
The presence of the ornament, which is always made by human beings and influences someone's vision, has deeply touched Kohei Kyomori’s spirit. He constantly researches the ornamental function and property in ceramics, architecture, clothing or symbols and produces his artwork rooted in a handicraft way of thinking.
Kohei Kyomori's works remind us of the thoughts, the history and the aesthetics of the ornament in the contemporary era of the digital shift. Nowadays objects are disappearing as real entities. Therefore, he gives us an opportunity to re-question the fundamental human activity of hand craftsmanship and the expressional value of the sculptured objects.
